Patience Is A Virtue

One of our plans once we go back to in the Philippines was to put up a Thai Restaurant in partnership with Uncle Tum. I would say he's the best Thai chef for me, I loved every dish he cooked for us while we were in the UK.  Well, our plan has taken a backseat for now but we are just preparing for it. We will still pursue and push thru with our plans once we are financially stable from our multiple streams of income. For now, we will just have to wait for God's plans.  "Don’t get impatient when things aren’t going your way. Sometimes a delay is just what you need to get the results you desire." The two guys discussing about our future business perhaps? My Husband drinking beer while Uncle Tum is cooking Doing...

Our Sukiyaki Version

One of the best memories I have staying in my Aunt's house in Leeds, United Kingdon was feasting on food. His ex-husband is Thai and a chef so we really get to enjoy good thai food and even chinese food. We love doing our version of Sukiyaki. Oh, I just can;t get enough of it every time we do this in their house. It's really fun eating like Japanese people and mixing all the seafoods, noodles and soup while grilling all sorts of meat. Anyway, I think the pictures can show it more than my words in describing how we enjoy our Sukiyaki. Just look at that, the chili sauce, noodles, meats, shrimps make me drool right now. With my Aunt Minda Nice shot of the whole group feasting on our Sukiyaki version My husband...

Dedon Island

It's Holy Week and I'm sure a lot of people have already made plans for their vacation but I just wanted to write a quick post about Dedon Island which is creating a buzz lately in the tourist zone. So maybe for those who are still thinking of where to go this Holy Week or this summer, I suggest considering this island. The pictures of Dedon Island certainly paints a thousand words. Just a short walk from the beach, with the Sea Pagoda in the distance, the infinity pool at DEDON ISLAND is the hub of resort activity. The horizon is never far from view at DEDON ISLAND. A series of pavilions faces out to sea, as does the occasional NESTREST hanging pod. On the southeastern tip of Siargao, the DEDON ISLAND Village nestles between...

How To Know If Your Dreams are God's Dreams By Bo Sanchez

I just finished reading Bo Sanchez' book " How to Know if your Dreams are God's Dreams" and I could relate well with how the book has explained in knowing what God's dream is. I have dreams that I have been able to achieve, one of which is being able to buy a house and saving up for a business when we got home here in the Philippines. But I also have dreams that are yet to be achieved. I haven't given up on achieving those dreams but there are moments that I feel like I don't really know if I can still achieve my dreams. You get into that feeling of loosing hope because you just keep on failing with everything that you do in order for you to achieve your dreams. When we decided to leave London and go back here in the Philippines,...

If You Believe It, You Will Achieve It

When you dream and you visualize it and you never stop thinking about it, you are able to get it. And I can attest to it. Way back in High School, after seeing Citta Italia from afar, I said to myself, I will definitely buy a house here. I was so determined to fulfill that dream that even after graduating from High School and College, I never forgot about it. But I knew it would take me long enough to fulfill my dreams of being able to buy the house just by working here in the Philippines. I was working as a call center agent jumping from one call center to another trying to land on a bigger salary offer. So when the opportunity came for me to be able to go to London, even if I knew that I would be leaving my husband and my son for...

Richard Yap: Chowking Chef?

Who watches Be Careful With My Heart? If you do, just wondering if you know that Richard Yap was the former chef of some of the Chowking commercials a few years back. Oh well, most of you who knows this must be laughing at me right now but it's okay, haha, I had to laugh at myself as well. I honestly had no idea who Richard Yap is. I just find him cute when he was still doing My Binondo Girl but I did not find his role cute. And because I am so addicted to Be Careful with My Heart, I even had to start researching about him. Funny right, suddenly you get interested to someone you don't really know but because you keep on watching them everyday or from Monday to Friday, you get so curious about them. My husband actually made...

FAIL Means First Attempt In Learning

Do you feel like a Failure? Do you have that feeling like everything you seem to do is a failure? I did, most of the time I felt like every decision I make is a failure. That's what most people who are around me keeps telling me everytime I make a bad decision that results into failures until you get to that certain point where you no longer want to do anything because of  fear of failing. Even if you still want to stand up and keep on fighting until you reach the success you want to have, you just get stuck doing nothing.  It is so hard to be in such situation and to feel being a failure. Most of us look at failure as simply being unsuccessful with our goals and dreams which makes us to not feel good about ourselves. But...

Life Is Like Riding A Bicycle

Every morning when I wake up, I have it written in my goals that I will watch a motivational video for 20 minutes to motivate me, inspire me throughout the day. You might have a different goal everyday but just in case you want to get inspired or you need a motivation, I would like to share with you the videos I watch everyday to feed my soul as well from Bo Sanchez' inspiring videos.  I can personally relate to this video. I love the idea of life being compared to riding a bicycle. It looks simple for those who know how to ride a bicycle but I never learned how to ride one. My Mom used to tell me that girls should not ride a bicycle, its only for boys. But life is for everyone and so we must all learn how to ride our own...
