Patience Is A Virtue

One of our plans once we go back to in the Philippines was to put up a Thai Restaurant in partnership with Uncle Tum. I would say he's the best Thai chef for me, I loved every dish he cooked for us while we were in the UK.

Well, our plan has taken a backseat for now but we are just preparing for it. We will still pursue and push thru with our plans once we are financially stable from our multiple streams of income. For now, we will just have to wait for God's plans.

"Don’t get impatient when things aren’t going your way. Sometimes a delay is just what you need to get the results you desire."

The two guys discussing about our future business perhaps?

My Husband drinking beer while Uncle Tum is cooking

Doing what he does best, cooking!

Food Tasting? They probably need my advise!

Can you guess what dish is this? Its the famous Pad Thai, Uncle Tum's Version. ( so good and authentic!)

Our Sukiyaki Version

One of the best memories I have staying in my Aunt's house in Leeds, United Kingdon was feasting on food. His ex-husband is Thai and a chef so we really get to enjoy good thai food and even chinese food.

We love doing our version of Sukiyaki. Oh, I just can;t get enough of it every time we do this in their house. It's really fun eating like Japanese people and mixing all the seafoods, noodles and soup while grilling all sorts of meat.

Anyway, I think the pictures can show it more than my words in describing how we enjoy our Sukiyaki.

Just look at that, the chili sauce, noodles, meats, shrimps make me drool right now.

With my Aunt Minda

Nice shot of the whole group feasting on our Sukiyaki version

My husband with that big mouth saying "Can't get enough of this!"lols....

Dedon Island

It's Holy Week and I'm sure a lot of people have already made plans for their vacation but I just wanted to write a quick post about Dedon Island which is creating a buzz lately in the tourist zone.

So maybe for those who are still thinking of where to go this Holy Week or this summer, I suggest considering this island. The pictures of Dedon Island certainly paints a thousand words.

Just a short walk from the beach, with the Sea Pagoda in the distance, the infinity pool at DEDON ISLAND is the hub of resort activity.

The horizon is never far from view at DEDON ISLAND. A series of pavilions faces out to sea, as does the occasional NESTREST hanging pod.

On the southeastern tip of Siargao, the DEDON ISLAND Village nestles between ancient mangroves and the crystal blue waters of its own bay.
At the heart of the DEDON ISLAND Village, the pool is flanked by the outdoor bar and library, at left, and the dining and games pavilions.

A NESTREST lounger, hanging from a storm-bent coconut palm, inspired the DEDON ISLAND logo. In the distance, the Sea Pagoda beckons.

The all-glass front façade of the Deluxe Villas opens onto the spacious master bedroom, with its lounging niches and en suite bathroom.

Guests’ first stop on arriving at DEDON ISLAND is the reception lounge, where they can relax while enjoying a cool glass of calamansi juice.

The SWINGREST hanging lounger by Daniel Pouzet is one of the first products to be created in the Outdoor Living Lab that is DEDON ISLAND.

A thriving fish sanctuary has been established around the Sea Pagoda. Resort guests can arrange for meals or drinks to be served there.

The resort’s decor is a rich blend of specially-created DEDON designs, standards from our collections and local, carved-wood pieces.

On some nights, a screen is hung between two coconut palms, and the area around the pool is transformed into a stunning, open-air cinema.

So, have you decided if you want to visit this island this summer? Oh well, I would really love to see this place and experience it, haha, just what exactly did I mean by that?

How To Know If Your Dreams are God's Dreams By Bo Sanchez

I just finished reading Bo Sanchez' book " How to Know if your Dreams are God's Dreams" and I could relate well with how the book has explained in knowing what God's dream is.

I have dreams that I have been able to achieve, one of which is being able to buy a house and saving up for a business when we got home here in the Philippines. But I also have dreams that are yet to be achieved. I haven't given up on achieving those dreams but there are moments that I feel like I don't really know if I can still achieve my dreams. You get into that feeling of loosing hope because you just keep on failing with everything that you do in order for you to achieve your dreams.

When we decided to leave London and go back here in the Philippines, I was so excited and I could see myself becoming a successful entrepreneur. But it did not happen. My husband and I wanted to put up a restaurant but I knew then that we did not have the enough capital yet so I opted to go for a franchise opportunity which is a food cart business. But after a few months of struggling to keep up with the business, I just had to accept that I've lost 500,000 pesos from our business. It was so hard to get over it but being the achiever and the dreamer that I was, I looked for another business opportunity that will help me recover from that financial loss from our previous business. That's how I got into MLM or network marketing. I was so decided at that time that it was the fastest way that I can get back what I have lost financially. I have been using the products anyway so I might as well learn how to do the business. But I failed again. What can I do? It was my first attempt in learning the MLM business and I was so naive with all the things that is happening in the MLM industry. As a newbie, you are told to follow your Upline because they already know what they are doing and that's what we did, only to find out that we are being used by our Upline for his own personal gains.

But you know what, it did not stop me from jumping to another MLM business opportunity. Though feeling devastated at that time, after loosing more than 300,000 pesos from the previous MLM company, I did not want to give up. I wanted to prove myself in this field. I wanted so hard to be one of the MLM top earners and be known. I wanted to be popular and see myself being praised by newbies in the MLM for earning millions and having tons of followers.

I didn't realize at that time though if it was what I really wanted. I mean, I want to earn millions but not just to be popular but because I want to secure the future of my family especially for my children. I wanted to be in that position where I could be a leader because I want to help other people succeed as well.

Reading Bo Sanchez book has made me realize all of this. According to his book, here are the three most
important things you need to become a great success in life: Desire, Belief, and Action.

Desire
You need to want your dream from the depths of your
soul. How intensely do you desire your dream? How
deeply do you want it to happen? Many people don’t
achieve their dreams because they don’t want it bad enough.

Belief
Belief is nothing else but a feeling of certainty. The more
certain you feel that you can accomplish your dream, the
faster you can make them a reality. Many people don’t
achieve their dreams because in their heart of hearts, they
doubt they can really do it.

Action
Albert Einstein said, “Nothing happens unless something
moves.” Successful people aren’t the most knowledgeable
people on earth. But you can be totally sure that all of
them have a bias for action. Many people don’t achieve
their dreams because they know but they don’t act.

It made me realize that I was able to achieve my dream of buying our house because I wanted my kids to have a home. And I never stopped until I was able to achieve it because badly wanted it for my family. And my family is the most important thing in this world. I don't know where I would be right now if I don't have them. You know what, while writing this, I have tears flowing down my eyes because there are so many things I have been realizing and they are coming into my thoughts which makes my heart cry.

With so many things that I have learned with all my business ventures and loosing huge amounts of money that could total to more than 1 Million pesos, I have certainly found what I want to do and how to do it so I can achieve my dreams for me and my family and be able to help other people as well. I love reading, writing and talking so I am using this gifts from God in achieving my dreams. I am still into MLM businesses and I have learned to venture into other types of business that allows me to have multiple sources of income.

For a time, I have lost myself and I really don't know what I want in life. I felt so confused because I am so afraid to fail again and again. But God is really good, He never failed me, He always made me feel that He's just beside me. And I think that is one of the most important lesson that this book has taught me, that my dreams should have a deeper reason why I want to achieve it and that it should be connected to my life's purpose of being able to help other people and not just myself.

If You Believe It, You Will Achieve It

When you dream and you visualize it and you never stop thinking about it, you are able to get it. And I can attest to it.

Way back in High School, after seeing Citta Italia from afar, I said to myself, I will definitely buy a house here. I was so determined to fulfill that dream that even after graduating from High School and College, I never forgot about it.

But I knew it would take me long enough to fulfill my dreams of being able to buy the house just by working here in the Philippines. I was working as a call center agent jumping from one call center to another trying to land on a bigger salary offer. So when the opportunity came for me to be able to go to London, even if I knew that I would be leaving my husband and my son for a few months before I am able to bring them to London also, I took the the chance because I knew that it was the decision that I have to make to change our lives the fastest way that I can. It must have been a hard and painful decision since my son was just turning 2 years old at that time but I had to take the courage of thinking for a better future ahead of us. All I know is that I was going to give myself just 5 years maximum of working abroad and in such time, I should be able to buy my dream house at Citta Italia and save up for a business when we go back home in the Philippines.

I kept thinking about this everyday. I would always be on the internet looking for different house models of Citta Italia making myself feel that I am on my way choosing the right house model for my dream house. Until one day, I knew that from the salary that I was earning, I could finally start buying my dream house in Citta Italia.

Here are some of the pictures that was sent to me while we were still in London after our house was built.

Seeing this pictures really made me feel so proud that I was able to make one of my dreams come true. If you really want something in life, you just have to go after it. Take all the necessary steps that you have to do to make your dreams come true.

This house was built from hard work and from the dream of being able to live inside Citta Italia. I never let go of that dream even if it took a while and I had to make a hard decision, that hardest decision that I ever had to make really paid off.

I feel so proud with this achievement. It is really true that "What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve". So for those who are reading this, and have lost hope with their dreams, you still have a chance to make that decision to go after your dreams. Keep dreaming but also keep on making actions that will make you realize your dreams.

Richard Yap: Chowking Chef?

Who watches Be Careful With My Heart? If you do, just wondering if you know that Richard Yap was the former chef of some of the Chowking commercials a few years back.

Oh well, most of you who knows this must be laughing at me right now but it's okay, haha, I had to laugh at myself as well. I honestly had no idea who Richard Yap is. I just find him cute when he was still doing My Binondo Girl but I did not find his role cute.

And because I am so addicted to Be Careful with My Heart, I even had to start researching about him. Funny right, suddenly you get interested to someone you don't really know but because you keep on watching them everyday or from Monday to Friday, you get so curious about them.

My husband actually made a wild guess when we saw the new Chowking commercial featuring Richard Yap and it was like a big pronouncement coming from him that it is Richard Yap. I always contradict him just for the sake of contradicting him, hehe, and he was so persistent that I had to do my research. Well, thanks for google and you tube for giving us the answers.

Now I know more about him. Thanks to the new Chowking commercial.

Bo Sanchez: How To Conquer Your Goliaths

I have just finished reading Bo Sanchez' book titled "How To Conquer Your Goliaths" which teaches 7 keys to overcome every problem that prevents you from reaching your dreams. This is just one of the blessings that I have received for being a member of Bo Sanchez Truly Rich Club.

I am not allowed to give you the full content of the book because the book is for members only and its part of the blessings that comes from being a Truly Rich Club member. I just want to share with you some insights on what you can learn from this book.

I'm sure you have all read or are familiar with the story of David and Goliath. We know how David, such a small guy was able to defeat Goliath, a big big guy. The first time I heard this story from the bible, I laughed at it not really realizing what is the moral story or what it actually teaches in life. For me at that time, it sounded unrealistic, just like a made up story of heroism with super powers that's why David was able to defeat Goliath. That was a long time ago and I have heard this story a number of times and I have seen a lot of quotes using this to motivate and inspire people.

But reading Bo's book, he was able to pinpoint so many aspects in the story that we all could learn from. There were so many details of the story that gives important lessons in life especially in achieving our dreams. We may have big dreams that we sometimes feel it would be impossible to achieve but after reading this book, I firmly believe that I can achieve my dreams even if they are big as Goliath.

When you dream, you have to be passionate about it so that you will do whatever it takes to achieve your dreams and that you are willing to die for it. If you are passionate with your dreams, no one can stop you and not even yourself can stop you from going after your dreams. Its also true that you should do what you love to do, otherwise, it will be hard for you to achieve your dreams by doing the things that you don't like doing. It will be so hard to drag yourself to do the things in order to achieve your dreams.

Just like waking up early in the morning for work. If you are happy with your job, you feel excited to go to work that you don't need an alarm clock. Your body clock is enough to wake you to go to your work early. But if you are unhappy with your job or the company your'e working for, how many times do you see yourself snoozing the alarm clock until you realize that you're already late for work?

You also have to learn to  focus on how to make your dreams come true. Though there will be road blocks along the way, just focus on your dreams and not with the road blocks or problems that you will encounter along the way.

Here is a quick preview of  what you can expect from the book.

  1. Follow Your Dream With Passion
    • Find something you’re willing to die for
    • Focus on the dream, NOT the problem
    • Repeat your dreams to yourself over and over again
  2. Focus on Your Core Gift
    • Find out your core gifts & passion
    • Follow your passion and match it with the needs of the market
    • Use your strengths, delegate the rest
  3. Believe in Yourself When Others Don’t
    • Build your confidence by starting small
    • Don’t listen to negative people or those that are not in your target market
    • Seek advise and listen to people who are already living your dream
  4. Build Your Dream Team
    • The #1 desired quality is the ability to work with a wide range of people
    • Recruit people who are better than you
    • Build relationship with your team
  5. Take Action
    • Take the first step in faith. You don’t have the whole staircase. – Martin Luther King Jr.
    • Take bold, massive action
    • See everything as preparation
  6. Fail Forward
    • Learn to fail
    • Be prepared to fail
    • Feel the fear, and fail anyway
  7. Shine Your Light
    • Heal your fear of success
    • Real humility is selfless servanthood
    • Be confident when you shine your light

Wow, have I shared enough what you can get from this book once you read it? Remember, the book contains 7 keys on how to overcome whatever it is that is preventing you from achieving your dreams. So if you are in that kind of situation and you want to know how to get past through it, you can get the whole book by becoming a Truly Rich Club member. Not only that you will get loads of freebies once you become a member.

FAIL Means First Attempt In Learning

Do you feel like a Failure? Do you have that feeling like everything you seem to do is a failure?

I did, most of the time I felt like every decision I make is a failure. That's what most people who are around me keeps telling me everytime I make a bad decision that results into failures until you get to that certain point where you no longer want to do anything because of  fear of failing. Even if you still want to stand up and keep on fighting until you reach the success you want to have, you just get stuck doing nothing.

It is so hard to be in such situation and to feel being a failure. Most of us look at failure as simply being unsuccessful with our goals and dreams which makes us to not feel good about ourselves.

But you know what, we can look ate the word FAIL in a different way. According to Bo Sanchez' inspirational video, FAIL means First Attempt In Learning. Is it not a good way to look at failing, that everytime you fail, it is your attempt to learn how to do things successfully and the right way. What's important is that you keep on standing up every failure because you are learning.

Life Is Like Riding A Bicycle

Every morning when I wake up, I have it written in my goals that I will watch a motivational video for 20 minutes to motivate me, inspire me throughout the day.

You might have a different goal everyday but just in case you want to get inspired or you need a motivation, I would like to share with you the videos I watch everyday to feed my soul as well from Bo Sanchez' inspiring videos.

I can personally relate to this video. I love the idea of life being compared to riding a bicycle. It looks simple for those who know how to ride a bicycle but I never learned how to ride one. My Mom used to tell me that girls should not ride a bicycle, its only for boys. But life is for everyone and so we must all learn how to ride our own bicycles.
